HP 55 Monk Farming help? - Guild Wars Forums

Hi, my friend gave me his account. It has the hp 55 monk on it. So I am here wondering if I can get a basic tutorial on how to use it to farm gold. You may contact me through aim @ metalmrocks, thanks in advance.

Without knowing the specific build its using its hard to say... but in general:

Maintain Mending and Balthazars Spirit (maybe essence bond as well).
Use Protective Spirit and Healing Breeze to stay alive
If you have SoA use that on larger mobs.
If you have bonettis defence, use that when casting Healing Breeze to avoid interuption
If you are part dervish use mystic regen for load of regen instead of healing breeze
If you are soloing and are using Shield of Judgement for damage then use that on recharge.

Where you can farm with it really depends on wat ur doing, and tbh im not sure at this point in time. Post your build and we can help out a bit more

Mo/any 55hp SoA Farmer

Read through the links, and you should get the hang of it pretty quick. (Though I do prefer 600/Smite over 55).

And, it's against the EULA (user agreement) to give your account to someone, so it's not a good idea to get on a public forum (often read by NCsoft employees) and state that someone gave you the account.

I've tried farming with a 55 monk and I be dead pronto.

I followed tips on guru/wiki builds but I still be dead pronto.

I gave up farming with a 55 a while back but then recently I tried it with an E/Me, W/Rt, W/E, Rt/Me and an A/E...... with no avail. Oh, and there are some new meanies down there, like the walking bones zombies(?). Who knows what else is new/different.

So much gold I used up and so little use of it.

Learning the basics of the game is uber important, how the skills work under whichever circumstances, combo of armor + hp + runes... etc., so much, yes, so much stuff to consider. Indeed.

I am not giving up farming completely just yet. Alls I haves to doos is learns the basics... then I'll be good to go.

Uh - you tried farming as a 55 with no monk profession? Nice going.

Instead of 55, maybe try 600. Works about the same way, but a whole lot better:

[build prof=monk/Any divine=9+1 protec=9+1 smitin=12+1+1][Protective Spirit][Spirit Bond][Shield of Judgment][Blessed Signet][Balthazar's Spirit][Retribution][Blessed Aura][Shield of Absorption][/build]

No silly, he tried with the 55 Monk and then with the other professions.

In addition to the post above - I would agree, 600/smite farming is much easier and faster than using a 55 monk. The main difference is that 600/smite uses two people instead of just one - usually it's a 600 human monk and a hero Smite/bonder, but it could be two humans. You may have to share some of the loot, but it goes much faster, so overall it's about the same.

There are many variations to the 600/smite team, depending somewhat on where you are farming. You can see lots of them here - http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page
